One of my favorite toy

...if not my absolute favourite, Cuboro was a gift we gave X last Christmas.

I have not once regretted the price tag of this toy.  The craftsmanship of this toy is outstanding, and the toys itself is a delight to play with. It is engaging, foster creativity, cleverness, but also requires a good dose of fine motor skills.

Challenging enough even for an adult to play with, and yet it can be oh so simple that E asks to play with it daily.

I love how everyone can get a challenge regardless of their ages, and how it allows intergenerational play.

I have seen countless hours of collaboration over this toy, and I know I have yet to see many more.

The Cuboro set is fully compatible with the Cogulino set which is aimed towards a younger crowd.  It has already been decided that E's next birthday present will be a set of Cugolino blocks

I absolutely adore this toy, and cannot recommend it enough.  If you ever get a chance to try it, go ahead!

  1. Thank you so much for recommending this! I have been looking for something like this for ages.

In Australia, you can get it from www.cuboro.com.au for your Aussie readers :)

  2. Thanks for the link Rachel, you saved me looking around!

Neptune, This was a gift for X when he was 6? It's going on my list for my 6 year old in 2013! Thank you for posting. It makes a lot of difference to see a review from someone you trust and to see it being used. I love the third pic with the marble in motion!

  3. Rachel, thanks for providing a link! I hope you guys like it as much as we do!

Kylie, X received it last Christmas, yes, he was 6 at the time. But M plays with it regularly, and she is 5 1/2.
I am sure Casper would love this! It is such an amazing toy. When it is time to play at something all together, this often gets out.
I am planning many additions to this. It is probably the most expensive toy I have purchased, and yet I don't mind adding to it one bit.

I was not sure to go whether with the cugolino for X at first, or really jump with this one. I am glad that I did go with this set, but it is too advanced for E. Cugolino is the best choice for him now. I think M would also be better off with the cugolino, but she is at the start of being able to use the coboro independently.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
